Singing bowls, whether they are Quartz Crystal Singing Bowls or Tibetan Singing Bowls, are associated with the Chakra system of the human body, and correspondingly to the musical scale. For instance, middle 'C' is associated with the Root Chakra at the base of the spine, and a singing bowl that sings to the note 'C' is used to tune, activate, and heal issues (physical, mental, and emotional) related to the Root Chakra. There are Seven Chakras of the Human System and they associate with the note C, D, E, F, G, A, and B.

MANUFACTURE
In order to manufacture our crystal singing bowls, pure 99.9% granular quartz crystal taken from the finest and most pristine sources and heated to at least 4,000 degrees. The larger bowls tend to have a deeper tone, sometimes of a lower octave and the thickness of the bowl goes into the design in order to get the desired note on completion.
A SHORT ON HISTORY
Singing bowls were in use even before the Buddha (Shakyamni 560-480 B.C.) The Bon religion, from Tibet long before Buddhism, apparently originated the use of singing bowls then made from an unknown material, presumed to be a metal alloy. Since that time they have been made from different materials, including brass, gold, glass, and recently, quartz crystal. They can also be made of other stones, such as ruby, amethyst, and rose quartz but pure quartz has the special quality of high magnification.
THE POWER OF SOUND
Cultures throughout the world and throughout time have used music and sound for healing, meditation, and for connection to the divine. To play the bowls you need to merely put them on a solid surface, on top of the supplied rubber o-ring, strike the bowl gently a few times to 'get the vibration started' and then move the supplied mallet around the top edge of the bowl while holding firm against the outside edge. After a few circles the bowl will begin to 'sing'. Their singing reverberates after you have stopped playing them as if they are alive and singing all by themselves.
